Following up on the captivating – and Grammy Award winning – success of their Soldier Of Love LP released in 2010, Sade are to release a double CD compilation titled The Ultimate Collection on May 2nd, featuring a selection of classic Sade songs spanning their career to date – plus three new, unheard goodies, including a version of “Moon & The Sky” featuring Jay-Z.

Exciting news for fans of both the band and rapper, given gorgeous frontwoman Helen Folasade Adu’s admission last year to the LA Times that she has turned down requests to collaborate with the leading rapper, previously stating “I’m too scared… They’ll find me out. It’s like ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ They’ll find out there’s nothing there. As for collaborations, I’m collaborating with the band and do what we do. I see myself as a member of this band who does these songs that we write.”

Sade – “Moon Of The Sky” (without Jay-Z):

With the compilation available for pre-order from today [in the US, so far], the track listing for The Ultimate Collection will be revealed shortly.

Sade are performing a select number of shows in the UK this Summer with support from The Jolly Boys:

Friday May 27th: M.E.N Arena, Manchester
Sunday May 29th: LG Arena, Birmingham
Tuesday May 31st: O2 Arena, London
