Contrary to recent reports sparked by a claim Young Money artist Tyga made on MTV’s RapFix Live, legendary Queensbridge MC Nas has not launched a new record label called Kings And Queens, according to his manager Anthony Saleh.

Saleh debunked the claim to XXL, saying simply that Tyga’s revelation is “not true.”

Tyga was on RapFix Live promoting his recently-released sophomore album Careless World: Rise of the Last King, on which he, Wale and Nas collaborated on a song titled “King And Queens.” He spoke about the irony (which he incorrectly referred to as cliché) of him sending Nas a record with the same name of the label he had allegedly just launched.

“I sent him a song called ‘Kings and Queens’ [sic] and he just started a label called Kings and Queens, which is crazy,” Tyga told Sway, apparently erroneously.

Nas has yet to comment on the story.

In other news, Nas announced on Feb. 23rd via his Twitter account that his next album, tentatively titled Life Is Good, has been completed.

Though the album does not have a release date yet, the album’s gritty, vintage-sounding lead single “Nasty” and its dope, back to the essence-themed video premiered online this past October, immediately sending legions of so-called Hip-Hop purists into a frenzy.
