Things may be going swimmingly for Meek Mill under Rick RossMaybach Music label (a certain server-crashing mixtape can attest to that), but the Philly rapper has decided to align with another rap clique to handle his management duties. In an interview with Life + Times, the Jay-Z-run blog, the 23-year-old emcee announced his deal with Roc Nation management, joining his MMG crewmember Wale under the branch.

“Yeah, that’s the new deal I put together. Me coming up in this rap game, I was always an underground artist coming up by myself and making all of the moves by myself,” he said. “And my manager – he’s just like me, we’ve been coming up in the streets by ourselves. So we just decided to partner up with Roc Nation and take things to another level.”

In the interview, he also revealed collaborations with producers, Jahlil Beats, Cardiak, All Star, Key Wayne and Young Jerz for his forthcoming debut album, Dreams & Nightmares due out on August 28th, and added he hopes to work with Just Blaze and Pharrell, also.
