The news every Lupe Fiasco fan has been eagerly awaiting to hear has been confirmed. Taking to Twitter earlier today, Lupe announced the completion of his fourth studio album Food & Liquor 2: Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, and that his label have given it the green light.

Yes, it appears that Atlantic Records – the same label that forced Lupe, seemingly against his wishes, into a pop-driven release with Lasers only a year ago – will be distributing this project, too. Having ok’d the record, fans should expect the album to hit shelves sometime in July and see Mr. Fiasco make his return to that same brand of exciting hip-hop as showcased on the first Food & Liquor.
